ALDEM, a 60-person subcontractor in sheet metal working, laser cutting, mechanical welding, and surface treatment, needed a modern replacement for obsolete quoting software that only one person could use and could not import 3D models. The company turned to Alma CAM’s almaQuote software to speed up and simplify the preparation of quotes for both simple parts and complex assemblies.

With Alma CAM’s almaQuote, ALDEM can now create all its quotes with six licenses and three active quote creators, using DXF imports, simple-part entry, unfolding, and assembly import for welded structures. The solution has significantly improved responsiveness and flexibility: a quote for a 60–80 component mechanical-welded assembly dropped from 5 hours to 30–45 minutes, and now as little as 15 minutes with the new assembly import module.
