South African Engineers and Professionals Score Accolades and a World Class Stadium

PD Naidoo & Associates was the principal consulting structural engineer for Soccer City, South Africa’s iconic World Cup stadium. The project was highly complex because the new stadium had to be built over the existing FNB site, coordinate with international teams, and manage major structural challenges while preserving the old pavilion.

AllyCAD was used by PD Naidoo & Associates to set out pile positions and capture the stadium’s geometry with precise coordinates. Using AllyCAD, the team produced about 3,000 drawings and issued roughly 5,000 coordinates, helping deliver accurate on-site positioning for every pile, facade element, and structural connection with no margin for error.
