Nzelenzele Preston & Medcalf Inc is a fast-growing land surveying and town planning firm serving the Eastern Cape, with offices across the region and work spanning transport, schools, clinics, subdivisions and housing developments. As their projects expanded, they needed software that could support both surveying and town planning, and they standardized on AllyCAD and CIVIL DESIGNER to help manage about 12 workstations across their offices.

AllyCAD helped Nzelenzele Preston & Medcalf Inc deliver complex projects such as road-upgrade land-rights investigations, a 290 km rail-line survey, and a rural housing township of about 1,000 sites. The vendor, AllyCAD, also added major efficiency gains through its general plan function, which the firm said allowed plans to be generated quickly and easily, delivering a “huge timesaving.”
