Masuku Dube Tifflin (MDT) engineers were tasked with designing a sewer reticulation network for the Storms River West project in Tsitsikamma, where rapid growth and new housing developments had stretched the existing civil infrastructure beyond capacity. Using AllyCAD and Civil Designer’s Sewer module, MDT needed to create an accurate, cost-effective design for 500 erven while dealing with an incomplete and outdated sewer system.

AllyCAD helped MDT produce quick, accurate preliminary drawings and complete the design within about six months for a R1.5 million project. The solution enabled a vital sewer service to be delivered, supported community development and job creation, and involved training and employing local labour for pipe laying and septic tank installation.
