The Botswana Department of Water Affairs faced the challenge of designing and managing water and sanitation projects in a flat, water-scarce country where groundwater is often far from the people who need it, requiring long-distance pumping and complex engineering solutions. To support this work, the department’s consultants and engineers used AllyCAD alongside CIVIL DESIGNER for project design and planning.

AllyCAD helped the Botswana Department of Water Affairs gain greater flexibility than the tools it had used previously, making it easier to handle multiple large sanitation schemes across Botswana. By adopting AllyCAD, the department improved its engineering workflow for these projects, supporting work on five major schemes scheduled for completion in 2006.
