Bloemfontein Municipality’s water and sanitation team, including draughtsmen Marius Strydom and Lappies Labuschagne, needed a faster, more reliable way to produce drawings after moving on from manual drawing boards and a discontinued drafting program. They turned to AllyCAD to support design work for municipal projects such as road development and utility planning.
AllyCAD helped Bloemfontein Municipality standardise designs, add legends and coordinate labels for contractors, and work alongside Civil Designer and GIS to manage survey data and extract detailed area information. The result was clearer drawings, easier contractor use, and better visibility of existing sewer and water services, improving project viability and streamlining the municipality’s design process.
