Best Buy cuts BOPIS integration time from 3–6 months to a few days with Alloy Automation

Best Buy, a major consumer electronics retailer, sought to scale its Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) offering for its vendor partners. The previous process required partners to work directly with Best Buy's engineering teams, a custom integration that took 3-6 months per merchant to complete. To productize these integrations and enable faster launches, Best Buy partnered with Alloy Automation and its enterprise Embedded iPaaS platform.

Using Alloy Automation's platform, particularly its Passthrough API feature, Best Buy was able to create a templated, pre-packaged BOPIS solution. This allows for real-time inventory checks and seamless integration with partner storefronts like Shopify. The solution dramatically reduced the integration timeline from months to just a few days, enabling Best Buy to offer its fulfillment network capabilities to partners at scale.
