WFS Relies on Accurate Visibility to Improve Service and Productivity

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a leading ground handling provider for airlines and airports, needed to improve visibility into network traffic after slow application response times began affecting service levels across its French operations. WFS France worked with Allot, using its traffic management and visibility solution, to address network congestion, protect QoS for remote sites, and improve the performance of business-critical applications without adding bandwidth.

Allot deployed Service Gateways to provide Layer-7 visibility into LAN, WAN, and Internet traffic, revealing that 33% of WAN traffic came from remote endpoints syncing Windows and Office 365 files, along with SMB file sharing, antivirus updates, and VPN-based recreational browsing. With Allot SmartTraffic QoE and related policy controls, WFS prioritized critical applications, rate-limited nonessential traffic, and added DDoS protection and secure web gateway capabilities. As a result, WFS improved application QoE, reduced bandwidth waste and costs, strengthened security, and gained faster troubleshooting and better overall productivity.
