Hotel Group Uses Allot Solution to Provide 5-Star WiFi Service

Hotel Group, a luxury hospitality and convention operator managing five large resorts in the USA, needed a better way to handle WiFi access across guestrooms, meeting spaces, and exhibit halls. Their challenge was to ensure fair-bandwidth sharing, offer different service levels, and gain accurate usage visibility for troubleshooting and planning. Hotel Group worked with Allot and its Service Gateway solution, including Allot NetEnforcer AC-1440 and Allot NetXplorer.

Allot implemented centralized traffic management and policy control across the hotel group’s networks, allowing Hotel Group to assign bandwidth by user group, enforce fair use, and offer more than 40 service plans with speeds from 256 Kbps to 13 Mbps. The solution also enabled rapid bandwidth upgrades, control of P2P traffic, and limits on suspicious connection spikes, while providing detailed usage reports for event planning and upselling. As a result, Hotel Group improved customer service, avoided a network upgrade at its Nashville location, and increased revenue through tiered WiFi packages and premium upsells.
