Preview of the Canadian DSL Service Provider Case Study

DSL Provider Establishes First Line of Defense Against Evolving DDoS Attacks

Canadian DSL Service Provider, a leading fixed-line service provider in Canada, turned to Allot after experiencing a significant DDoS attack and anticipating more frequent, larger attacks in the future. The company needed a way to protect its Internet, VoIP, and hosted PBX services without harming network performance, subscriber quality of experience, or disrupting its existing service platform.

Allot implemented DDoS Secure within the customer’s existing Allot Service Gateway environment, starting with SG-Omega and later scaling to Sigma E and Tera platforms for broader national protection. With Allot’s real-time detection and mitigation, the provider gained full visibility into attacks, protected subscribers from large volumetric DDoS events, and maintained service availability and QoE; Allot also delivered precise inline mitigation with a time to mitigate of under 60 seconds.
