Allot Protects Regional Elections from DDoS Attack

CTTI, the Telecommunications and Information Technology Center of the Government of Catalonia, needed to secure its election infrastructure against hacktivists and high-volume DDoS attacks during the September 2015 regional elections. Vendor Allot provided DDoS protection through Allot DDoS Secure, working with the government’s existing Allot Service Gateway environment.

Allot activated DDoS Secure as a fast, cost-efficient, just-in-time defense that detected and blocked attacks within seconds at the network edge. The solution inspected 100% of traffic, mitigated multiple SSDP-based DDoS attacks in real time, and helped CTTI keep network operations uninterrupted throughout the elections, protecting both service availability and user experience.
