Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre builds a 300-bed future-proof network with Allied Telesis

Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre, a new 300-bed hospital in Malaysia, required a new high-performance network to ensure high availability of medical data with no downtime. Their challenge was to connect two buildings with a resilient, easily managed infrastructure. Allied Telesis was selected to provide a solution built around their SwitchBlade x908 and x610 Series switches.

Allied Telesis implemented a network utilizing VCStack™ and EPSRing technologies to create a resilient core with no single point of failure, featuring rapid 50ms failover. The solution provided high-speed 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity between buildings and gigabit access to the desktop. The results were a high-performing, always-available network that met all critical objectives. Allied Telesis also provided hands-on training and ongoing support, ensuring ease of management and a cost-effective, low power consumption solution that exceeded the customer's expectations.
