Open Networking Foundation deploys pure OpenFlow network in under 1 hour with Allied Telesis

The Open Networking Foundation (ONF), an organization dedicated to accelerating SDN adoption, needed to deploy a pure OpenFlow network at its headquarters to align its operations with its mission. They selected vendor Allied Telesis to provide this new SDN solution.

Allied Telesis implemented a solution using their x930 Series and x510 Series switches alongside an 802.11ac access point, all controlled by the open-source Faucet SDN controller. The entire deployment was completed in less than one hour, resulting in a highly resilient and high-performance network that can scale to support up to 2000 users. Allied Telesis delivered a system that worked flawlessly right out of the box.
