Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad, Malaysia’s largest local retail wholesaler, needed a stronger network to support its growing mix of converged systems, including IP telephony, POS, business intelligence, logistics, manufacturing, and security surveillance. Its previous network could no longer handle the complexity, creating operational issues and added costs. Allied Telesis was selected to provide the upgrade.

Allied Telesis implemented an end-to-end Layer 3 network using advanced switches with QoS, multicast support, and control features to improve availability, security, performance, and manageability. The new infrastructure quickly improved network performance, streamlined business data, and simplified network management, while also helping Mydin gain more timely and accurate management and financial information and reduce future business and IT costs.
