Lower TCO and Reduced Complexity with New Streamlined Campus Network

Kansai University in Japan needed to lower the cost and complexity of managing its campus network while improving security and user authentication for staff, students, and guests. Allied Telesis was selected to help modernize the Takatsuki Campus network, which had lacked centralized management, integrated authentication, and the speed, reliability, and efficiency the university required.

Allied Telesis implemented a network built on SwitchBlade x8100 core switches, x610 aggregation switches, and x210 edge switches, with Allied Telesis Management Framework (AMF) providing centralized, automated management and tri-authentication for secure access control. The new solution reduced operating expenses and management man-hours, enabled zero-touch provisioning and easier updates, and was delivered within the university’s summer vacation deadline, giving Kansai University a more reliable and efficient network.
