A Allied Telesis Case Study
Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation, a subsidiary of the Hitachi group, needed a reliable, high-performing network for its new Smart Factory in Bangkok, Thailand. The factory had to support both wireless LAN for camera surveillance and wired LAN for monitoring displays, cameras, and IoT devices, while also providing centralized management for a converged IT environment. After evaluating multiple vendors, Hitachi High-Technologies chose Allied Telesis.
Allied Telesis designed and implemented a new network using switches, wireless access points, and an AR4050S UTM firewall, managed through AMF, AWC, Vista Manager EX, and Net.AMF. The solution delivered non-stop access to online systems, simplified and automated network management, and secure remote visibility for the Japan office. Hitachi High-Technologies reported reduced switch installation, configuration, and maintenance effort, along with lower time and cost to manage the network, while gaining confidence that AWC would optimize wireless LAN performance.
