The district chose vendor Allied Telesis to implement a new 10 Gigabit backbone to replace its existing gigabit infrastructure and connect its six schools spread over a large area.

Allied Telesis provided a solution powered by its Switchblade 8112 switches, deployed district-wide with the help of the E-Rate program. The new network was operational by the fall 2016 term, providing a robust and powerful 10 Gigabit backbone. This upgrade by Allied Telesis ensured the network could handle all student devices and traffic, enabling connected classrooms and meeting the district's 21st-century education goals for the future.
