Grupo Hefame boosts network core from 10Gbps to 40Gbps with Allied Telesis

Grupo Hefame, a Spanish pharmaceutical producer and distributor, required a robust network core upgrade to support new high-speed servers and ensure seamless access to applications for its staff. Their challenge was to maximize throughput, increase datacenter bandwidth from 10Gbps to 40Gbps, and guarantee network redundancy. Allied Telesis provided the solution using their next-generation SwitchBlade x908 GEN2 switches.

Allied Telesis implemented a solution featuring four SBx908 GEN2 switches using VCStack LD to create a single, redundant core covering both datacenters. This resulted in a substantial improvement in network speed, convergence, and stability, while also simplifying the topology for easier management. The upgrade was a total success, meeting all expectations and future-proofing the network with the capability to scale up to 100Gbps.
