F. Linster & Co. GmbH deploys 66 APs for nonstop Wi‑Fi with Allied Telesis

F. Linster & Co. GmbH, one of Europe's largest steel trading companies, faced a challenge with unreliable Wi-Fi across its warehouses and offices. The existing network had spotty coverage and was difficult to manage, which was inadequate for supporting new mobile barcode scanners for their inventory system. Allied Telesis, through partner Nutz GmbH, provided a solution leveraging its Channel Blanket technology and Autonomous Wave Control (AWC) Wi-Fi controller to ensure stable, non-stop connectivity.

The Allied Telesis solution deployed 66 access points to create a single-channel "blanket" of coverage, overcoming interference from steel racks and harsh outdoor conditions. This provided reliable connectivity for all devices and was centrally managed with Vista Manager EX software. While full scanner deployment was pending, Linster reported immediate benefits including increased mobility, higher performance, and simplified network administration. The customer's expectations were fully met, and they praised Allied Telesis for its excellent support and cooperation.
