Exceeding Student Data Needs at Hallsville Independent School District

Hallsville Independent School District in Texas needed to keep pace with rapidly growing bandwidth demands from digital learning and BYOD, while connecting six schools spread across a 188-square-mile district. To support its upgrade from Gigabit to a 10 Gigabit backbone, the district chose Allied Telesis, a long-time technology partner known for robust, affordable networking solutions.

Allied Telesis delivered a district-wide wired network refresh built around three Switchblade 8112 switches at the core, creating a 100% Allied Telesis environment. The new 10 Gigabit backbone was deployed over the summer and was ready for the fall term, giving Hallsville ISD reliable connectivity for connected classrooms and campuses, enough capacity for students’ growing device usage, and a scalable foundation for 21st-century education.
