Caritas-Klinik Dominiku - Customer Case Study

Caritas-Klinik Dominikus, an emergency hospital in Berlin and part of the Caritas-Krankenhilfe group, needed to expand a patient Wi‑Fi project into a hospital-wide wireless network that could integrate with the wired infrastructure, support critical healthcare applications, and be managed simply during ongoing operations. Allied Telesis was chosen because it could meet the hospital’s key requirement for unified management while handling nonstop connectivity demands in a busy clinical environment.

Allied Telesis delivered an integrated wired and wireless solution with core, distribution, and edge switches, PoE-powered TQ5403 access points, Autonomous Management Framework, Autonomous Wave Control, and Vista Manager EX for centralized visibility and control. The result was seamless roaming, strong performance for diagnostic imaging and other medical systems, free Wi‑Fi for patients and visitors, reduced IT administration overhead, and a self-healing network that supports the hospital’s ongoing digital modernization.
