An Allied Telesis Network Infrastructure Primes This Romanian Military College for the Future

Allied Telesis worked with Military College “Stefan cel Mare,” a Romanian state military school specializing in mathematics and computer science, to replace a patchwork of disconnected, poorly managed wired and wireless networks across its 14-building campus. The school needed a single, centrally managed infrastructure to support classrooms, staff, and administrative operations while reducing IT complexity and costs.

Allied Telesis implemented a campus-wide wired and wireless solution using x930 Series, x230 Series, and TQ5403 access points, along with Vista Manager EX, Autonomous Management Framework (AMF), and Autonomous Wave Control (AWC). The new network consolidated Internet access, added redundancy and high availability, and was deployed in full production within two months. The college reported strong performance, simpler management from one console, and a future-proof platform that is also helping teach students networking skills.
