A Allied Telesis Case Study
UniKL MIMET, a leading technical university in Malaysia, needed to replace its aging campus network after its old switches reached end of life and no longer had support. The university wanted simpler network management, lower complexity, and better performance for the cost, and chose Allied Telesis after an open tender because of its AMF automation platform and hands-on training.
Allied Telesis designed and implemented a new campus network using x930, x510, and x230 switches with Autonomous Management Framework (AMF) and VCStack. The solution centralized control, automated tasks like backup, recovery, provisioning, and upgrades, and improved resiliency and management simplicity. UniKL MIMET reported no network issues in the three years since implementation, with reduced administration effort and lower operating costs.
