How Empower Retirement Connects Content and Community

Empower Retirement, the second-largest U.S. retirement services provider with $668 billion in assets under administration and more than 6,000 employees across 20 business units and two continents, needed a way to deliver consistent sales messaging after a 2014 merger, train teams on new-product introductions and SME insights, and shorten ramp time for new hires. To address those challenges, Empower engaged Allego and piloted Allego’s agile sales readiness platform.

Allego’s solution—rolled out in phased, centrally governed waves with executive sponsorship—put video courses, quizzes, subject-matter channels and a searchable video library into employees’ hands, required nine pre-meeting courses that “revolutionized” the national sales meeting, and enabled weekly market updates and just‑in‑time SME communications. The platform quickly scaled from pilot to enterprise-wide use (about 6,300 employees), improved message consistency, accelerated onboarding and fostered company-wide collaboration and community through shared best-practice videos and interactive contests — all delivered via Allego.
