Driving Strategic Objectives via the Online Banking Platform

Arkansas Federal Credit Union (AFCU) partnered with Alkami Technology in 2021 to modernize its online banking experience and better support a growing digital roadmap. The credit union wanted to enhance the member experience, expand self-service digital services, and improve convenience, engagement, and security across its banking channels.

Using Alkami Technology’s online banking platform, AFCU rolled out features like Card Hub, faster payment options, virtual assistants, chat support, financial wellness tools, and fraud-prevention capabilities. The results were strong: active digital banking users grew from 55,000 to 85,000, app ratings improved from roughly 2.5-3 to 4.8-4.9, mobile deposits increased to 10,000-11,000 per month, 105 retail wires totaling more than $1.5 million were processed in one month, and Alkami helped prevent about $200,000 in transfer fraud and a $91,000 fraudulent wire.
