Direct FCU Innovating Digital Banking Solutions for Homeowners

Direct Federal Credit Union partnered with Alkami Technology to enhance its digital banking experience for homeowners. After converting to Alkami’s digital banking platform in 2021, the credit union identified a gap: members who owned homes had no easy way to track home value, available equity, or relevant mortgage options within the banking experience, often forcing them to use third-party sites.

Alkami Technology helped Direct Federal integrate Chimney’s My Home Tracker into its digital banking platform, giving members real-time home value and equity insights along with personalized marketing offers. The results were strong: 9 out of 10 enrolled members said it improved their experience, 20% enrolled within the first three months, 30% returned weekly, HELOC volume rose 40% over the next six months, and more than 15% of funded home equity loans were generated through the solution.
