An All-in-one Platform to Solve Legacy Payment System Challenges

Trustmark National Bank, a $17.4B community bank with 175+ branches headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, needed to modernize legacy ACH payment processes, increase adoption of positive pay, and better protect customers from fraud. In 2013 the bank selected Alkami Technology’s Alkami ACH Alert (including ACH Positive Pay, EDI Translation, and ACH Return & NOC services) to provide a self-service, real-time approach that would replace slow, manual workflows and legacy systems.

Alkami Technology worked onsite with Trustmark to design an integrated front- and back-end positive pay system that removed manual steps, enabled near-real-time customer control, and streamlined operations. The Alkami ACH Alert implementation monitored more than $2.6 billion in ACH transactions for Trustmark in 2021 and helped return over $12.5 million in fraudulent charges, supported 9% year-over-year revenue growth for ACH services, cut onboarding from weeks to hours, eliminated paper reports, and created operational savings and new revenue streams.
