A large payment-services company turned to AlixPartners after new executive leadership raised concerns about information security gaps, including the lack of an incident-management protocol, uncertainty about staffing and roles, and possible noncompliance with PCI DSS requirements. The company also needed a clearer basis for justifying future cybersecurity investments to its board.

AlixPartners performed a four-month assessment of the company’s information security maturity, risk exposure, and critical assets, and developed a security framework plus a detailed incident-response process integrated with existing ticketing and crisis management systems. The firm also benchmarked maturity against NIST standards, created a three-year security roadmap, and defined key roles and responsibilities. The work helped allay leadership’s concerns and led the company to ask AlixPartners to continue supporting implementation of the security guidelines.
