Vanguard engaged Align’s Data Center Solutions team to design the facilities infrastructure for a major data center transformation that included a full technology refresh and migration from on-premise centers to two redundant, third‑party purpose-built facilities. The project required two new 10,000 sq. ft. / 1.2 MW spaces to house roughly 200 cabinets each and support core workloads, mainframe, network, compute, storage, and security appliances.

Align produced detailed design drawings, schedules and one-line diagrams, acted as the IT General Contractor to procure materials and hire subcontractors, provided full-time construction oversight, and coordinated rack/stack and connectivity work for a seamless handoff to Vanguard’s IT teams. Align’s integrated schedule and execution completed the transformation in 10 months versus the planned 16, saving Vanguard over $3 million in rent and substantially reducing infrastructure failure risk.
