Align Partners with Dusty Robotics to Automate Data Center Layouts Increasing Precision, Reducing Project Timelines, and Mitigating Risk

Dusty Robotics faced a major challenge in data center white space buildouts, where layout accuracy must be precise to within 1/16". Traditionally, these lines were mapped by hand by multiple professionals, taking several days on larger projects and increasing labor needs, project timelines, and safety risks.

Align partnered with Dusty Robotics and used Dusty’s automated layout technology to streamline the mapping process and improve precision. On a large-scale project, Align installed 384 racks across six rooms, saving 784 hours and reducing the need for 18 layout crew members, while maintaining the required 1/16" tolerance and helping keep projects on schedule despite supply chain delays.
