Verizon faced a forced move after selling its Waltham, MA data center and needed to migrate 1,134 devices into a new primary facility in Boston within a compressed 4–5 month window to meet a looming lease termination. Verizon engaged Align for migration planning and project management to handle the scale, tight timeline, and complex requirements across twelve dedicated testing labs with diverse inventory, network and cabling needs.

Align collected detailed inventories, coordinated power/network/rack readiness, established project governance and executed 11 migration waves, completing the move in a compressed four-month timeline with no downtime. Align migrated all 1,134 devices (250 network devices, 300 servers, 650 hardware assets) to Boston, decommissioned the Waltham facility on schedule, and enabled Verizon to resume seamless operations in the new data center.
