Stoltz Manufacturing - Customer Case Study

Stoltz Manufacturing, a Lancaster, PA builder of agricultural and cement spreaders since 1945, faced the need to modernize product lines and speed custom builds after new ownership in 2008. The company sought improvements in hitches, gearboxes, structural and sheet‑metal design, and wanted to cut engineering and build times for highly customized cement spreader truck bodies while improving manufacturability and service life.

Stoltz implemented Alibre Design CAD across its design process, using sheet‑metal tools and modular sub‑assembly layouts to accelerate customization and improve structural durability. With Alibre, Stoltz reduced engineering and build times, introduced more heavy‑duty standard components, improved manufacturability and service life, and expanded capacity—creating six new manufacturing and engineering jobs and enabling faster shop starts for customer‑specific builds.
