Scaled Energy faced the challenge of making small wind turbines practical, efficient, and safe for household and urban use. The Fort Myers team, led by inventor Helmuth Geiser, turned to Alibre and its Alibre Design parametric modeling suite (including Alibre Motion and Alibre CAM) to rapidly develop and validate new turbine designs and manufacturing-ready assemblies.

Using Alibre Design, Scaled Energy redesigned the pitch-regulating hub, speed regulator, and a foldable mast to produce a turbine reported as about 71% more efficient, enabling deployment in many lower-wind locations and supporting new patents for urban ownership. Alibre’s modeling, motion testing, and CAM output accelerated development and manufacturing; Scaled Energy estimates a 10 kW unit can generate roughly $500/month in Florida, yielding an ROI of about 7.5 years on a $45,000 system.
