Beeline Mowers, led by inventor Vern Godfrey, faced a race against the clock to produce patent‑grade drawings and a second, showroom‑ready prototype for the Green Industry & Equipment EXPO; photographs wouldn’t satisfy the patent office and existing 2D CAD tools and manual methods were too slow. To meet the tight deadline, the family team turned to Alibre and its Alibre Design software.

Using a 30‑day trial of Alibre Design, Jeff Godfrey modeled the entire mower (more than 200 parts) in about six weeks, leveraged 3D constraints, interactive 3D PDFs and automated 2D drawing generation, and quickly demonstrated motion and maintenance steps for the patent. Alibre enabled the patent drawings to be delivered to the attorney five days ahead of schedule, reduced weeks of trial‑and‑error tinkering to days, avoided costly alternative CAD packages, and helped secure a pending patent and a successful expo debut.
