Oriental Overseas Exports, an India-based manufacturer and exporter of small leather goods and bags, needed a better way to market its products beyond traditional trade fairs. After joining Alibaba.com in 2004, the company began using the platform and TradeManager to connect with buyers and showcase products such as jute bags, leather wallets, promotion bags, and leather purses.

Alibaba.com helped Oriental Overseas Exports increase visibility, build trust with overseas buyers, and expand into new markets with minimal investment. The company now does nearly 40% of its sales through Alibaba.com, exports to Europe and East Asia, and even gained exposure to Japan, which accounts for around 20% of its exports.
