Shoo Industries, a Pakistan-based manufacturer of leather and textile motorbike outfits and accessories, started as a small home business under Managing Partner Mr. Waseem Qaisar. In its early years, the company spent heavily on advertising and sample distribution but received very limited response, putting the business at risk due to lack of capital and exposure.

Alibaba.com provided the turning point through its online trading platform and Gold Supplier membership. After joining Alibaba.com, Shoo Industries began receiving inquiries and small orders, then upgraded to Gold Membership and saw a steady increase in quality leads and larger orders. The result was significant growth: by 2007, Shoo Industries had built its first factory and expanded to over 200 workers serving customers worldwide.
