The University of Western Australia (UWA) faced a critical challenge when travel restrictions stranded its students in mainland China, preventing them from accessing the university's portals and continuing their studies. Alibaba Cloud provided a solution using its Cloud Enterprise Network to rapidly connect these remote students to UWA's education services.

Alibaba Cloud implemented a cloud-based solution that was deployed from proof-of-concept to full production in approximately 48 hours. This provided a stable, high-speed, and low-latency network for students, which could scale from 40 to over 4000 users without impacting performance. The result was that UWA was able to respond in a timely manner, ensuring students could continue their studies quickly and efficiently.
