SpotlightX, a Hong Kong-based subsidiary of ProTel Communications Ltd, runs a B2C mobile app that helps businesses provide online customer service to consumers. As the platform grew, it needed a provider with strong local and international coverage, plus local technical and commercial support and a dedicated account team to support its cloud infrastructure and future global growth.

SpotlightX chose Alibaba Cloud and built its architecture on Alibaba Cloud Elastic Compute Service (ECS). The company said it was able to set up its entire infrastructure in a single weekend, and after deployment it saw significantly improved system response time, along with faster mobile customer experience and agent login performance. SpotlightX also pointed to Alibaba Cloud’s 16 international regions as a benefit for deploying its SaaS solutions in strategic markets.
