PowerMew Technology Ltd. builds MewMe, an online social networking platform for tenants and agents in the real estate industry. As traffic grew, the company needed a more scalable hosting setup for AR and VR features, larger volumes of property images, and more reliable backup and disaster recovery. It also needed faster access for visitors in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and other countries.

Alibaba Cloud provided Elastic Load Balancer, Content Delivery Network (CDN), Object Storage Service (OSS), ApsaraDB for RDS, and Alibaba Cloud Security Service. With the new setup, MewMe could route traffic across ECS instances, store and back up static content in OSS, and deliver content globally with lower latency. Alibaba Cloud helped improve overall network performance by 150% and gave PowerMew unlimited, reliable, and cheap storage.
