Pocketalk launches in China and serves 960,000+ units with Alibaba Cloud

Pocketalk Co, a company that develops AI-powered interpretation devices and software, faced a significant challenge when expanding its services into China. The need to use a VPN for communication with mainland China resulted in slow response times and a drop in service level for its Pocketalk device. To overcome this obstacle, Pocketalk turned to vendor Alibaba Cloud and its Elastic IP Address - China BGP Pro (EIP BGP Pro) service.

Alibaba Cloud's solution enabled Pocketalk to deploy its system infrastructure in the China (Hong Kong) region. Using EIP BGP Pro, the company maintained the same high communication quality it had in Japan and successfully launched its service in China without needing a VPN. Pocketalk also highly appreciated the service level of Alibaba Cloud's Elastic Compute Service (ECS), which does not require stopping server instances during maintenance. This successful expansion is part of Pocketalk's global growth, having shipped over 960,000 units and performed more than 180 million translations.
