Gate Academy, which offers examination preparation courses and online learning platforms for students, needed a way to handle large media and static content, support multiple subdomain sites, and keep its portal available during traffic spikes. It also needed secure storage for proprietary course content and financial transactions, along with a database and backup setup that could support disaster recovery.

To meet these needs, Gate Academy worked with Alibaba Cloud using Server Load Balancer, Elastic Compute Service (ECS), Relational Database Service (RDS), and VPC. Alibaba Cloud provided a scalable and secure architecture with load balancing across healthy instances, flexible ECS capacity, and Apsara DB for RDS for backup and disaster recovery, helping the platform improve availability and handle changing traffic demands.
