BorderX Lab, a Silicon Valley-based company, wanted an IT infrastructure that could connect consumers with merchants across countries while handling multiple applications in different data centers. As its product inventory grew two-fold every two months, the company needed a flexible and scalable platform for data-intensive jobs and real-time consumer services, and it turned to Alibaba Cloud.

BorderX Lab deployed Alibaba Cloud ECS instances, ApsaraDB for RDS, Object Storage Service, and Alibaba Cloud CDN across U.S. and China VPCs to support its workloads. The company said Alibaba Cloud’s DNS was more reliable than other providers in China and the U.S., and its service availability with mobile carriers increased from 50% to 200% after switching to Alibaba Cloud.
