Case Study: SIAE builds an open copyright management ecosystem with Algorand

SIAE, the Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, needed a more scalable and decentralized way to manage copyright rights as it worked to modernize its licensing and rights infrastructure. After initially starting the project on Hyperledger, SIAE turned to Algorand’s high-performance blockchain platform to support a new open ecosystem for copyright management.

Using Algorand, SIAE launched more than 4 million NFTs to digitally represent the rights of nearly 100,000 creators. This move created a transparent, decentralized public blockchain foundation for protecting authors’ rights end to end, helping SIAE build the basis for a more open and scalable copyright infrastructure.
