Blockstack is a full-stack decentralized computing protocol focused on enabling a user-owned internet, where developers and users can interact more fairly and securely. To support the next generation of applications and smart contracts, Blockstack partnered with Algorand to help advance the Clarity smart contract language, which needed a more predictable and trustworthy foundation for enterprise and government use.

Algorand and Blockstack collaborated on an independent, open-source project to support the future design and development of Clarity. By helping make Clarity a “decidable” language with mathematical certainty about program behavior, Algorand helped pave the way for safer, more secure, and more predictable smart contracts. The case study does not cite specific numeric results, but it highlights stronger trust, security, and certainty for large-scale blockchain solutions.
