ARCC.one - Customer Case Study

ARCC.one, working with Algorand, set out to support the Asia Reserve Currency Coin (ARCC), a “microasset” designed to improve financial inclusion for the urban working poor in Southeast Asia. The challenge was to create a digital asset that could help people without bank accounts or access to credit, investment, and insurance begin building wealth through a blockchain-based system.

Algorand provided the Algorand Standard Asset (ASA) functionality that allowed ARCC to be tokenized and represented on-chain. With Algorand, ARCC.one users can earn ARCC through socio-economic surveys and then use the tokens in microfinance and asset management services through ecosystem partners, helping expand access to financial tools for more than 300 million underserved adults in the region.
