Swap.com, the largest online consignment and thrift store in America with over 2 million unique SKUs, needed to move beyond basic site search to deliver instant, individualized personalization — average queries are only 2.2 words and roughly 40% of revenue comes from sessions with search. To address this challenge, Swap.com selected Algonomy and its Algonomy Find™ site search product.
Algonomy implemented Algonomy Find™, applying multi-layer personalization at indexing, query time and the dashboard to return dynamic, user-specific results and integrated it via server-side API using existing feeds. In A/B testing (30,000 checkouts) Find increased conversion by 7.3% versus Amazon CloudSearch, improved relevance and brand engagement, and provided new metrics and controls (including a Findability score) for ongoing optimization and revenue growth.
