HP Personalizes the First Boot Experience and Beyond With Algonomy’s AI-powered Content Personalization Platform

HP, a Fortune 500 leader in personal computing, faced the challenge of establishing meaningful, scalable customer relationships despite selling most devices through retail partners and lacking a direct point-of-sale connection. Wanting to turn the critical “first boot” into a personalized engagement that would drive satisfaction and discovery, HP sought a solution that could scale to millions, integrate with existing marketing assets, and automatically optimize in real time. HP partnered with Algonomy and its ALGONOMY Engage™ solution to address this challenge.

Algonomy implemented ALGONOMY Engage™ to power HP Jumpstart, a personalized companion app that delivers AI-driven, real-time content across nine dynamic screens and up to 30 tailored tiles per user. The solution leverages roughly 300 contextual attributes and continuous machine learning to serve the most relevant tips, accessories and services; content is served from HP’s CMS while Algonomy optimizes delivery. Results include rapid rollout to millions of users, HP Jumpstart becoming HP’s largest direct customer channel, a greater than 30% lift in engagement versus the prior generic template, over one-third of customers engaging welcome content, and minutes of use doubling since the pilot.
