Ubisoft, a leading creator and publisher of franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry, operates 17 online stores across 31 countries and needed to better surface the right games, DLCs and related content to users. With broad searches (e.g., “Assassin’s Creed”) returning overwhelming results and business teams needing to highlight promotions and new launches across many languages and currencies, Ubisoft sought a solution to reduce no‑results pages and make search relevant for each market and device.
Ubisoft ran a successful POC and integrated Algolia with their Salesforce Commerce Cloud stores, using typo tolerance, relevance rules, synonyms and analytics to tailor results by country. The fast rollout (under 3 months for France and the UK, five countries in 6 months) delivered strong gains: up to +40% conversion on the UK site, +20% on French mobile, an overall ~35% uplift in conversion for the latest store, and a drop in no‑result rate from 20% to under 5%, while giving local teams easy tools to manage search and merchandising.
