Plieger Groep, a century-old wholesaler in digital transition, needed to modernize its online product discovery so professional customers could quickly find the exact items they needed. Its team wanted a search solution that could be managed without relying on scarce developers, and after comparing options, Plieger Groep chose Algolia Search to replace its previous Solr setup.

Algolia implemented the new search experience quickly, with rollout completed over two to three sprints and ongoing configuration over about six months, then added features such as Dynamic Re-Ranking, Query Suggestions, Facets & Filters, and Autocomplete.
