Wizbii is a French B2C and B2B digital platform that helps 16–30-year-olds find jobs, internships and related services across multilingual sites used by 11 million people. The company struggled with slow, irrelevant multilingual search using Elasticsearch, high developer maintenance, and underwhelming traffic and engagement.
In 2018 Wizbii replaced Elasticsearch with Algolia Search—using the Search API, Filters & Facets and Synonyms—and rolled it out across front- and back-office systems. The result was significantly faster, more relevant multilingual results (Algolia beat Elasticsearch in relevancy about 90% of the time), reduced latency and developer overhead, and a dramatic uplift in traffic and user engagement while supporting 300K+ job listings and millions of monthly job suggestions.
